TV Egyptian Series

The television series Zaat, directed by Kamlah Abou Zekry (2013) and based on the novel by Sonallah Ibrahim, portrays Egypt’s social and political transformations from the 1960s to the early 2000s. Laila Samy plays Safiya, a character representing Egypt’s 1970s student movement alongside Aziz, both embodying the spirit of political activism and social change during that era. Starring Nelly Karim, Bassem Samra, and Ahmed Kamal.
